Mainstem Martis Creek Restoration Project

For Balance Hydrologics Inc. 2014 – present.   Martis Valley, Truckee, CA. WBS conducted extensive vegetation surveys including quantification of re-usable resources for this creek restoration project and contributed to the 95% design plan set. Areas restored included floodplain and creek, trails, and the borrow site, using a variety of biotechnical treatments. WBS, along with design lead Balance Hydrologics, oversaw project implementation. Construction was completed in the summer of 2020. We are currently working on establishing plants culturally significant to the Washoe Tribe.
