Martis Valley Trail Segments 1A and 1B1

Segment 1B1

WBS completed design and oversight of revegetation and erosion control work for the 1B1 section of new bike trail along Martis meadow. Use of standard sediment control BMPs were minimized for this project, which for the large part relied on windrowed native vegetation and salvaged soil for sediment containment.

Segment 1A

WBS designed restoration of Martis Valley Trail Segment 1A and provided construction oversight for Northstar Community Service District. The trail will ultimately connect Truckee with Lake Tahoe. In fall of 2015, WBS completed the first year of post construction surveys and determined that the project was very successful, with no erosion noted and good establishment of seeded as well as volunteer native vegetation, and almost weed-free.
